My shinies, all displayed beautifully on this coffin shaped pin board in my PeeWee's Playhouse looking office space...
Now to get a bit more indepth...
This is the pin that sort of started the collection - I got this pin in '93, it wasn't until much later that I found out this was part of an entire set of pins that all came in a collectable metal SEGA tin. What I love about this pin is that it depicts Sonic using a hang-glider, which is a reference to the game mechanic present in 8-bit Sonic 2. Sonic 2 on the Master System was the first Sonic game I ever played, and therefor means a lot to me.
This was an anniversary pin I got from the SEGA store around 2018.
This pin is meaningful to me because I traveled overseas to attend the FFXIV Fan Festival convention in 2023. It was a lot of fun and I met a lot of nice folks there. This pin came free simply by attending (along with a bunch of other cool stuff in a goodie bag).
This is a collectible vintage Beistle pin. I have quite a large collection of vintage Beistle Halloween decorations, both collected from childhood or eBaying. I'm a bit obsessed with vintage Halloween décor... I got this pin in 2017 from the CreepyCompany.
I love this pin, it depicts the 1991 toon version of BJ with themes from the first Halloween special. Great pin, got it around 2010 from a yard sale.
Chuckie Finster pin, acquired approx 20 years ago. I will always love Rugrats up until season 4, when I felt it jumped the shark so hard it ended up on the moon. Chuckie's design always appealed to me - his orange hair and thick-rimmed glasses, his freckles and buck teeth and space-themed outfit. As a kid who grew up with chronic anxiety, I found comfort in Chuckie and could relate to him. RIP Melville.
Crazy Clown Bogpin - this is the first 'Bogpin' Boglin I got which came with my 1st edition Crazy Clown Boglin puppet.
Crazy Clown Bogpin alternative version - basically a variant of the above clown pin.
King Sponk Bogpin
Vlad Bogpin
Drak Bogpin
Leucochloridium Paradoxum has been in my top 5 fave list of parasites for 20+ years. I think I got this pin between 2017 and 2018 maybe.
I've wanted an actual Jenny Haniver gaff for my entire life!! I've obsessively tried to source one and have never had any luck... so this pin was the next best thing. I adore how dried-up ray carcasses look... I can see how these dried specimens could have fooled folks in the 16th century.
This little spooky skull-faced cat pin was a gift from an old work colleague I've not seen in over a decade, still have this dope little pin though.
This cicada brooch was a birthday present from an old friend I've not seen in many moons - but I still love this brooch. Gifted to me in 2005, I used to wear this a lot on my old work shirt to make the uniform less painful.
This Plague Doctor pin was given to me in 2009 as a gift for doing some cheap editing work for someone's wedding video (back when I dabbled in editing)... it always seems strange how plague doctors went from obscure entities to being popularized online - a good thing of course - now when I tell someone I love plague docotors they know what I mean!
Invader Zim full of the innards of all the kids he stole them from to seem normal! Referencing ofcourse, the episode 'Dark Harvest'. I love Zim so much, Richard Steven Horvitz is one of my fave VAs (I am a bit of a voice actor nut!!) I think I got this badge a few years ago from a flea market.
I've always loved Gaz, she's just so cool! Much cooler than Dib! Got this pin along with Zim above at the same flea market.
Zooble is my favorite character from The Amazing Digital Circus, I can relate to them quite a lot and just generally find their design pleasing. I got this pin last year from the Glitch Productions Store.
Trubbish is one of my favorite Pokémon (ofcourse second only to Garbodor) - I got this pin a few years ago from the Nintendo store. Something about a little bag of garbage with trash arms and a derpy face just pleases me.
Garbodor! Got from the Nintendo store the same time I got Trubbish above. Ofcourse as someone who adores garbage creatures and cartoon landfils I can't help but love Garbodor - he is the best Pokémon!
