It is no secret that I have an unhealthy obsession and love for Real Monsters... I have a bunch of RM shirts, including this hideous holidays sweater that I literally only wear in the house (though now my cats have stolen it for their nest...), a humble little collection of figurines and plushies, my sealed set of Mattel toys and ofcourse my signed by Arlene Klasky and Gábor Csupó animation cel (which I've had for over 25 years so it's very beat up at this point from the old frame breaking from a house move and the cell inside being damaged... points go to anyone who can tell me what scene this cel is from ;P)

This show is one of my favorite things in the world and so when I saw Mondo Shop had an exclusive limited edition set with only 1000 units made to celebrate the show's 30th anniversary, I knew I had to have it!

So without further ado, here are some unboxing pics!

The packaging for this is just as sublime as the packaging was for my 2019 CultureFly NICK BOX EXCLUSIVE vinyl figurine (which you can see here). But I wasn't prapared for what I saw when I opened it...

Excuse my cat Goblin; she needs to be involved in everything cardboard-related—but look at how beautiful that is! The artwork is gorgeous, on model, and high quality—I love the addition of all the roaches... this will make a beautiful display piece all on its own.

Goblin has already found a use for the box...

Each figurine in this set comes with changeable features and hand gestures so you can pose them in multiple ways, though you just straight-up get TWO Krumm figurines, which is awesome because it means more to display, in my opinion! I love the detail of these figurines; I don't think I've seen any RM merch that was this detailed (if you don't consider the cookie jar that detailed, ofcourse). These are just glorious, from their vibrant colors, strong and solid forms, and linework details to mimic that beautiful Klasky Csupo inking style...

Another view of the same display—what makes this limited edition set so special is that you get Zimbo and a Bonsty (Blarp specifically)! I think this is the first time I have ever seen Blarp in toy form; come to think of it, I believe that to be the case for Zimbo too. If there are any other RM collectors/lovers/fans out there who know of any Zimbo toys already released, feel free to let me know in my
guest book, but I have been an RM collector since the '90s and have never seen one myself!

They look so cool on display (though this is a temporary setup till I get more shelving space)—I love how large they are. They look straight out of the show.

I couldn't help but display the spare heads too; they look so great as standalone little heads amongst the rest of my collection!

I am super happy with this set, very much worth the price tag of $150—I believe the site offers a payment plan if you're not able to pay that outright, though, which is awesome. I definitely urge any RM fans who love the look of this to order now, as this set is limited and restricted to 1000 units and this particular edition is the only one that includes special extras like Blarp, Zimbo, and the Open Mouth Krumm!
